In an ongoing dialogue with global issues, the research developed by the UC Faculty of Linguistics and Literature is known for its excellence and innovation with respect to the disciplinary foundations of language sciences and literary studies, in areas such as sociolinguistics and discourse linguistics, cultural and gender studies, and new modes of representation of the 21st century.
Our Faculty and the Department of Research and Graduate Studies, following institutional policies focused on top-level research, dissemination and internationalization, promote the development of research networks that address different disciplinary intersections, and provide support to academic collaborations between professors and undergraduate and graduate students.
The rigour of the research, the diversity of topics and interdisciplinary work have helped us obtain internal UC funds and national and international external funds. This has allowed us to become leaders in cutting-edge Humanities research across the continent.
